Today, as I take a bold step forward by officially launching DevXpressions LLC, I’m reminded of one of the most powerful lessons my dad ever taught me: You can do anything you put your mind to.

This simple phrase has shaped my entire journey — from my career as a chemist to stepping into the world of entrepreneurship. But it means even more when I look at my dad’s incredible example.

My Dad’s Unstoppable Spirit

My dad is the living embodiment of determination and resilience. In his 50s, while most people consider slowing down, he started Purple Heart Woodworks, building a successful solo business from the ground up.

But that wasn’t the end of his journey. Far from it.

When he retired, most would expect him to settle down. Instead, he moved to Guyana and, well into his late 60s and early 70s, he launched a new business venture alongside my brother. This wasn’t just a retirement hobby — it was a full-throttle entrepreneurial mission fueled by passion and hard work.

His story proves the fundamental truth he’s passed down to me: You’re never too old to start over, to dream big, or to build something new.

Taking Up the Entrepreneurial Torch

With DevXpressions, I’m proud to carry forward that spirit. Officially forming the LLC is more than just paperwork — it’s a commitment to myself and my vision. It’s the embodiment of the belief that it’s never too late to create, innovate, and follow your passion.

Launching DevXpressions is my way of honoring my dad’s example, stepping into the entrepreneur role he inspired in me, and building something that combines nature, science, heritage, and heart.
