Meet the Founder

Hi, I am Davena Mootoosammy – chemist, creator, mother, and founder of DevXpressions.

My journey weaves together science and spirit, heritage and healing, resilience and reinvention. For a little more than a decade I have been formulating beauty and wellness products behind the scenes, my background in organic chemistry and creative mind keeps me pushing the boundaries as asking for more. Now I’m bringing that expertise forward and building a brand with intention and heart.

Born of Guyanese roots and molded by the promise and pressure of American opportunity, I walk with a first-generation outlook – shaped by ancestral wisdom, American ambition, and the bold belief that legacy is something we build.

DevXpressions is more than a brand – it’s where research meets ritual, and where every product or story shared is rooted in authenticity, sustainability, and cultural connection.
